Metamorphoses
METAMORPHOSES is a collection of Greek myths woven together into a play about the transformational power of love. It was adapted by Mary Zimmerman from David R. Slavitt's translation of Ovid's Metamorphoses. The stories told in this play include that of Midas, Eros & Psyche, Orpheus & Eurydice, Phaeton, and Narcissus, as well as other, less familiar tales. It is a powerful, funny, sad, romantic, profound and potentially transformative theatrical experience.
