All BIMA Docents are invited to join a field trip to the Cascadia Art Museum in Edmonds on Thursday March 24, 2016.
Cascadia Art Museum is dedicated to NW art from the late 19th century through the 1960's, defined by the waters that flow from the Cascade Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. There are six galleries, a multi-purpose education room, gift shop and an event space.
The current exhibit is "Forward A Centennial Tribute to The Cornish College Of Arts". This exhibit is from both public and private archives which include: historic paintings, sculptures, costumes, videos, puppets and more. Key Cornish figures include John Cage, Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham, Robert Jeffrey, Mark Tobey and more.

Carpooling to Kingston is encouraged. Again, we will be walking onto the ferry.
After the curator led tour we plan to eat lunch in a casual adjoining fish and chip restaurant "Spud Fish". We will have menus to review before the visit at the docent meeting and front desk.
Admission to the museum will be paid for by BIMA. You will be responsible for your own ferry tickets and lunch.
