The Shooting Of's album launch is taking place in the Great Hall of Newcastle's iconic Castle Keep on Friday 18th March. Featuring support and collaboration with Minotaurs and other surprise guest appearances.
The Shooting Of is Newcastle singer-songwriter Paul Jeans, a self-confessed pop perfectionist once described by BBC 6 Musics Stephen Merchant as a veritable musical octopus... hardly surprising, given that the average Shooting Of gig sees Paul commandeering keyboards, drums, guitars, samplers and his trademark copper-phone microphone often all at the same time!
New album 'Analogue Heart', released on 4th March 2016 via League Against Rubbish Records, is an album of contrasts; from the dark, brooding apocalyptic tones of opener 'Bad Times Are On Horseback', the paranoid grandeur of 'Captain Of My Soul' and recent single 'This Silence Is Killing Me', to the quirky pop of 'The White Hart' and the sinister storytelling of 'The Beast In Me', showcasing a broad musical landscape while remaining a cohesive body of work.
The Shooting Of's twisted pop genius is an engaging live act, utilising an array of instruments in a feat of sublime dexterity, his live show has impressed crowds across the UK and Europe.
