Slow Food South Bay Chocolate Tasting at "The Chocolate Garage"
Join us for an intimate evening with the best bean-to-bar chocolate from around the world. Slow Food South Bay supports The Chocolate Garage because this business focuses not only on fair compensation and conditions for farmers and harvesters, but also supports the integrity of the entire process: from field to bar.
Also, in order to have unique flavors found only at the Chocolate Garage, the owner works closely with makers to curate distinct flavors, optimizing the "terroir" of the beans. Come hear her stories, and get a taste of her perspective of this fragile and fascinating industry.
This is your opportunity to:
- understand the difference in taste and integrity of high-quality chocolate versus the main-stream chocolate;
- advocate for cacao that is grown to protect the environment and the workers;
- and come celebrate with like-minded friends.

For this event, owner Sunita de Tourreil, is offering a $35 tasting fee to Slow Food members in appreciation of our advocacy for good, clean, fair food for all.

Attendees will have an opportunity to become part of Sunita's chocolate program:
pay $150 in advance as credit and use it to buy any chocolate you want whenever you want at a discount price. (This business model works similar to a CSA, where you pay in advance for the goods and the business owner uses that money to continue to fund future purchases.)
