PAT COLWELL & THE SOUL SENSATIONS
Celebrate an early Valentine's Day with an Old School R&B revue complete with back-up singers and a full horn section, with numbers aimed to invite dancing in the aisles.
Pat Colwell, a former Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives and the nations only Rock N Roll Speaker, leads the band on guitar and vocals. Performing on vocals and keyboards, his brother Bob Colwell has worked with a Whos Whos of musicians including B.B. King, The Band, and Roseanne Cash.
Playing saxophone and blues harp, Dave Wakefield has also performed with the King Bees, Shack Bully, High Rider, and the late Bill Chinnock. Bassist Justin Maxwell is a veteran of many recording sessions and tours with top recording artists such as Cidny Bullens and Girls, Guns, and Glory. Drummer Dicky Doo Hollis has recorded with the Boneheads, Pat Pepin, Stevie Jones, and the Colwell Brothers. Everyone in the group helps out on the soaring three and four part vocal harmonies that define their style.
In keeping with the sweet theme, desserts will be offered at intermission.
The show will be performed at the historic 1802 Phippsburg Congregational Church situated on the banks of the Kennebec.
