Event
Studio Works
Teen artists at every level are invited to an ink drawing workshop led by contemporary artist Rudy Shepherd. Participants will learn different ink drawing techniques to create their own drawings, using images of influential figures in African-American culture as source material. The workshop will also include a discussion and information about art career trajectories, art school, gallery representation and more.
We encourage you to bring images of individuals who are influential to you for use in the workshop, in addition to images provided by the Museum.
Refreshments will be provided.
Studio Works is funded by an endowment established by the Jacob and Gwendolyn Lawrence Trust. Additional support is provided by the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.
