Temenos Quartet
Comprised of ToReeNee Wolf on acoustic guitar and vocals; Heidi Wilson on alto sax and vocals; two-time GRAMMY Nominee AmoChip Dabney on bass and vocals; and seven-time GRAMMY Nominee Will Clipman on drums, percussion and vocals, Temenos Quartet brings together four of Tucsons brightest musical luminaries in a scintillating sonic synergy greater than the sum of its parts. TQ plays original folk funk fusion. With intelligent and emotionally evocative lyrics set to an eclectic array of irresistible trance-dance grooves, this is musical medicine for the mind and spirit; guaranteed to entertain, energize and enlighten audiences of all ages. As Amo likes to say, "Your soul will groove and your body will move!"
Whats with the name, you ask? The word temenos is of ancient Greek origin, and refers to a sacred grove where members of a community may gather to refresh their creative energies free from the distractions of everyday life. ToReeNee unearthed this linguistic nugget many years ago and filed it away for future use; the formation of this new band offered the perfect opportunity to coin the name. On many levels, Temenos Quartet embodies the ideals of equality and empowerment that its music expresses so joyously. The bands artistic adventurousness and social awareness is a natural fit for the positive vibration and aesthetic perfection of the Sea Of Glass--Center For The Arts.
