Whats with the name, you ask? The word temenos is of ancient Greek origin, and refers to a sacred grove where members of a community may gather to refresh their creative energies free from the distractions of everyday life. ToReeNee unearthed this linguistic nugget many years ago and filed it away for future use; the formation of this new band offered the perfect opportunity to coin the name. On many levels, Temenos Quartet embodies the ideals of equality and empowerment that its music expresses so joyously.
