Sourcing Seed and Scion Wood
In 1990, the U.S. Congress authorized establishment of a National Genetic Resources Program (NGRP). It is the NGRP's responsibility to: acquire, characterize, preserve, document, and distribute to scientists, germplasm of all lifeforms important for food and agricultural production.
Farmers are able to order germplasm from GRIN in order to test and research varieties suitable to their needs.
Examples include plant, animal, microbial, and invertebrate germplasm.
Dr. Laura Lewis, WSU Jefferson County Director, will lead the workshop. Please bring a laptop computer.
