LWGMS Social Justice Film Festival
In partnership with the University of Washington and Bellevue College, LWGMS is piloting an initiative that focuses on leadership and action for middle schools. Aptly named "Bending the Arc," this program seeks to create a way to bring social justice leadership to schools and communities, a means of "bending the arc" of social justice to the next generation. As part of the eighth grade Social Studies class, LWGMS students have been participating in monthly workshops on topics such as Kingian non-violence, women's rights, and creating community. These workshops help inform the student projects featured in the school's third annual Social Justice Film Festival. Please join us in the official screening of these films.
