Like Neil Young and Alejandro Escovedo, Yoder glides between guitar-driven rock and folk-tinged acoustic balladry. "Glenn Yoder, the former Cassette, rocks out a bit more than in past turns, but still retains the charm that made his former band one of Boston's brightest."

DREAM OF FIRE, the new EP from the Rationales, started with the solid songwriting the band is known for and added a sense of confidence and skill gained from playing live in support of The Distance In Between which allowed the new EP to recorded in a single 24 hour period in late 2013. The result captures the energy of the Rationales live performance and is the most dynamic recording the band has released to date.
Formed in 2007 by singer-songwriter David Mirabella, The Rationales have been evolving in both sound and lineup for the past 7 years. Their debut 2008 EP THE GOING AND THE GONE was called "one of the finer local CDs of the year" by the Boston Globe. Following a successful fan-funding kickstarter campaign in 2010, The Rationales released the LP THE DISTANCE IN BETWEEN in 2011 to high praise, both locally and internationally. The band kicked off 2012 with an appearance as semi-finalists in Boston's esteemed Rock-n-Roll Rumble. In 2013 the Rationales released the single "RADIO" and kicked off 2014 by releasing their new EP: DREAM OF FIRE.
