The LAMP is turning five!
Join us as we celebrate five years of bringing vital 21st century media education to youth, parents and educators of New York City. The evening will also honor award-winning filmmaker Jean Kilbourne (Killing Us Softly) and Mark Crispin Miller, professor, author and renowned activist for democratic media reform. Everything happens at the stunning Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO, and the night will be hosted by Daily Show co-creator and comedian Lizz Winstead with live music by pop/soul singer Erin Barra, named by The Washington Post as having "an intangible star quality." General Admission tickets include an open bar, passed hors d'oeuvres by La Table Exquise and a wine menu curated by the experts at Frederick Wildman & Sons. Premium tickets will also include reserved seating, top-shelf spirits and a gift bag packed with goodies you'll actually want. Tickets are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law, and are non-refundable. All proceeds benefit The LAMP.
Host Committee: Alter Net, Susan Banta, Ruth Cassell, Bill de Blasio & Chirlane McCray, Matthew Putorti, April de Simone, Matt Morningstar & Alan Van Capelle, Alejandra Ramos & Eugene Smolenskiy
