"Woman Seeks God"
Part of the "Best of the New Works Series", benefiting the 2016 New Works Series.
Written, choreographed and performed by Laure Porché Under the watchful eye of Kate Szekely
A young woman's quest for meaning intersects with her ancestor's quest for a home in this solo about existential loneliness and the need for God. When being human turns out to be more than we can chew, when magic wands are broken and letters come back unopened, where can we find enough hope to sustain us? An exploration through time, movement and words.

Emerging Artists returns with their one-of-a-kind festival, kicking off with a week of "Best of" encore performances from the last 3 years. Visit the theater any evening during this three-week event, and you'll find yourself transported in a number of surprising ways: by a single performer embodying a whole host of characters; by a more experimental theater piece "done differently" that challenges and delights; by a cozy two-person show exploring relationships; or perhaps by a bouncy new musical that will have you humming. Emerging Artists has always been about new works, new talents, new voices. That's never been more evident than now.
