Will Durst's "Elect to Laugh: 2016"
Premier political satirist Will Durst returns to the Mendocino Coast with his show "Elect to Laugh: 2016" for two nights on Friday and Saturday, March 25 & 26. Durst played for us last September in his one-man show "BoomeRaging" and appeared live on stage and screen at the 2015 Mendocino Film Festival with "3 Still Standing". Acknowledged by peers and press alike as one of the premier political satirists in the country, Will Durst has patched together a comedy quilt of a career, weaving together columns, books, radio and television commentaries, acting, voice overs and most especially, stand up comedy, into a hilarious patchwork of outraged and outrageous common sense. His abiding motto is "You can't make stuff up like this." The New York Times calls him "possibly the best political comic in the country."
Joining Durst during this comedy weekend are possibly the wildest and most creative comedy team ever to emerge from San Francisco, Debi Durst & Michael Bossier. Forged in the crucible of the influential San Francisco comedy scene of the early 80s, the two improvisers extraordinaire have been stalwart members if not founders of such comedy groups as The Committee, The Comedy Store Players, National Theater of the Deranged, The Dinosaurs of Improv and The Holy City Zoo Players.
