This class was first presented at Edges 7 or 8 years ago, and several larger events since then. It is a perfect lead in to the Valentine weekend. Learn some of the history of flagging, more recent developments in communication, both technical and societal.
This class is designed to provide people with the tools to communicate with new friends, partners and/or pick up play. It is most effective when people bring their questions and sense of humor, and leave behind any preconceptions. There will be several exercises designed for people to practice new skills - and perhaps make some new connections.
This class is NOT restricted to partnered or unpartnered, poly or non, cis or fluid. Improved communication is the goal, learning to ask for what you need - and learning what questions to ask.
Results may vary, no guarantees of the perfect partner - but if you don't attend, you'll never know.
Presenter Info: MzParker is a sweet little old lady who's involvement in the Bay Area Scene goes back some years. She purchased her first Violet Wand at an antique store in 1971 and found it a nice addition to the various stick, belts and wooden spoons she'd already been using.
