Sam & Margot: Songs for the Cloudsick
Sam & Margot met in the hills of Tuscany while studying physical theater. Sam was known for telling stories and playing football in high school but after traveling to India, learning how to meditate, and drinking ayahuasca he picked up his guitar and gave his storytelling more substance and a bit of poetry. Margot is a trained musical theater actress who discovered her love of songwriting when she picked up her violin for the first time in ten years after moving to New York City.Together they took to sidewalks and subways and eventually started playing basements and night clubs in Manhattan. Eventually they caught the attention of renowned songwriter Simone Felice who agreed to produce their debut album with David Baron (Meghan Trainor.) Sam & Margot are based in New York and play radical, romantic, roots music.
