8th Annual Winter Repertory Season
LTDC's 2016 Season kicks off with our Winter Repertory Program of classical and contemporary works at Tahoe Art Haus Cinema.
This year's program includes the dazzling classic "Paquita" featuring guest artist Jakob Pringle (Ballet West) with LTDC's dancers. Originally premiered in Paris in 1846 as a full-length ballet, the additions Marius Petipa staged at the Mariinsky in 1881 have survived and are performed as the "Grand Pas Classique."
The contemporary portion of the evening features three World Premieres. Jacqueline Lopez of Ballet Nacional de Mexico and our own Isabella Terrazas have created works for the company that showcase our dancers virtuosity in contemporary works.
Finally, Erik Wagner (San Francisco Ballet, Bern Ballet) joins LTDC Founding Artistic Director Christin Hanna on stage in his duet, "Dance For Two,"a piece that navigates the dynamics and complexities of a relationship.
