Cardinal Innovations will hold monthly Grand Rounds series, replacing the previous Lunch and Learn. It will be available via TeleCONNECT at all COCs and Corporate for all clinically-oriented staff (Clinical Operations, Community Programs, Community Partners, Medical, Network and Quality Management as indicated).
Staff will need register prior to the event. Please be on time for each training event. Anyone arriving 15 minutes late, will not be allowed to enter Grand Rounds.

Comorbidity of mental health and substance use disorders is common and presents challenges to clinicians during both assessment and treatment. Accurate diagnosis is essential to treatment planning. This lecture will look at important elements necessary for assessing substance use in those with mental health disorders, or mental health disorders in those with substance disorders. Additionally, co-morbidity requires special consideration for psychiatric prescribers as well as primary care clinicians. Scope of practice and indications for specialized assessments, including assessment tools, will be discussed.
