Hand-lettering
Hand lettering allows you the ultimate in creative freedom when it comes to working with letterforms, even over the vast, but straightforward, resources of your computer's font files. This class will cover some basics of typography, the history behind why letters are formed the way they are, creating consistency in a hand lettered alphabet, and the reasons for choosing to hand letter parts or all of a project over digital typesetting. Students will learn of the variety of tools that can be used in hand lettering and should come away with knowledge and confidence to add their own creative lettering into future projects.
