TUMBLEDOWN HOUSE - 8PM
The music of Tumbledown House has been described as "gritty saloon jazz", "modern speakeasy music", and "Tom Waits in a cocktail dress". Consisting primarily of sultry vocalist Gillian Howe and the eclectic indie-jazz guitar work of Tyler Ryan Miller, Tumbledown House provides the soundtrack for raucous, prohibition-themed parties and has "quickly ascended as one of the new, promising acts of the Rocky Mountain region" (Pop Rocket Press). Tumbledown House has toured from Alaska to Louisiana, Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine, and has now performed over 250 shows in over 20 states. The duo continues to tour, sometimes with additional musicians, throughout the U.S. and has shared the stage with Crooked Still, The Devil Makes Three, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Keller Williams, as well as many other notable acts.
LA GENTE - 7PM
LA GENTE is a San Francisco international recording group led by singer-songwriter Rafael Bustamante Sarria. The group has created their own unique multilingual blend of Cumbia, Reggae, Hip-Hop, Salsa, and World Music. They perform a high energy dance party and have cultivated a large, loyal and diverse following. They have independently released three studio albums, numerous live recordings, two DVD's and are currently in final stages of production to release their fourth studio album collaborating with a variety of international recording artists. LA GENTE was founded in 2002, since then they have performed numerous festivals, universities, radio stations, museums, art galleries and major venues of San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Austin, Portland and New York; in Spain, Italy, France, Great Britain, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Nicaragua and Colombia. Their notoriety and showmanship has found them sharing the stage with other recognized recording artists such as George Clinton and The P-Funk All Stars, E-40, La Santa Cecilia, Quantic, The Digital Underground, Hyro-Glyphics, Coolio, Digable Planets, Pato Banton, Lyrics Born, Pete Escovedo, and MALO.
DIEGO ARDILA - 6:30PM
Diego Ardila is a singer-songwriter exploring a bilingual mix of Latin and American styles to express love in all of its different forms: personal, intimate, painful and exuberant. His music reflects on romance in an age of complexity and detachment, and aims to offer a safe retreat for the lovers and dreamers of the world.
