Wild Adriatic and the Mallet Brothers
About Wild Adriatic
Calling to mind the soulful, dynamic sounds of 70s giants such as Led Zeppelin, Humble Pie, and Free's early years, Wild Adriatic has won early acclaim from places such as Rolling Stone, USA Today, Relix and Guitar World. The band, touring out of Saratoga Springs NY, played 175 live dates in over 10 countries in 2014 alone and is on track to match that in 2015.
The debut album Big Suspicious was released in January 2014 and WA has since stayed on the road in support of the effort. From playing Bonnaroo to headlining blues festivals in Connecticut for 10,000 people to a five week headlining European tour to serving as direct support for an impressive list of rock and roll royalty including Grand Funk Railroad, Robert Randolph, Blues Traveler, Deer Tick, MuteMath, and many more... Wild Adriatic is a high energy, riffy power trio to rival any you've seen before. The band has built a strong following off of a relentless tour schedule and a powerhouse live show, making noteworthy appearances at festivals like SXSW, moe.down, Gathering of the Vibes, Summer Camp, and CMJ.
Early 2015 saw the band consistently on the road across the US, ending their winter with a 6 week residency in Austin, TX leading up to SXSW, in addition to being featured in a theatrical commercial for Dolby Laboratories. All ramping up to the release of "Never Enough," Wild Adriatic's third EP/CD release. The 5 song disc features the new single "Strange Persuasions" and saw it's release on March 17th at this year's SXSW Festival. From there the band picked back up on with their hard-touring schedule, making stops at Bonnaroo, Summer Camp, and beyond.
About the Mallett Brothers Band
The Mallett Brothers Band is a band from Maine that plays original music. With a unique style that spans across country, rock and roll, Americana and "alt-country" genres, the band has grown a dedicated fan base across the country since releasing their debut record in 2009. With the upcoming release of their fourth studio album, "Lights Along the River," the band continues its rigorous touring schedule (playing upwards of 150 shows a year across the country), and its mission of sending genuine, heartfelt and independent music out into the world.
Over the last 6 years, The Mallett Brothers Band has proven to be an underground powerhouse, constantly touring and building a die hard fanbase across the nation, while still calling the state of Maine their home. With songs that can range from alt country, to americana, honkytonk, jam or roots rock, theirs is a musical melting pot that's influenced equally by folk and singer/songwriter influences as it is by harder rock, twang and psychedelic sounds. Led by brothers Luke and Will Mallett, the band is rounded out by Adam Cogswell on drums, Nick Leen on bass, Wally on dobro and electric guitar, and Andrew Martelle on fiddle and mandolin. It's song-driven music that holds up under the lens of solitary listening, but that's equally apt to crank a room full of rockers into whiskey-fueled high gear.
Since forming in 2009, the band has released four full length albums and toured the country tirelessly. They have provided support for acts ranging from The Josh Abbot Band, Blackberry Smoke, Charlie Robison, and the Turnpike Troubadours, to legends like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, and 38 Special. Their touring circuit stretches from the Appalachian to the Rocky Mountains, from Maine to Mississippi, and they've appeared in front of many fine people at some of the finest music venues in the country, including the Continental Club in Austin, the legendary Gruene Hall in New Braunfels TX, the Birchmere in Alexandria VA, the Bluebird in Nashville TN, Meadowbrook Pavilion in NH, and more.
"Lights Along The River," the most recent release, was recorded in a remote, boat access only location in northern Maine. Many of the songs came out of the touring life, gifts of the road, while many also came from the remote and cold places the band calls home.
