Queen daughter of Dub Poetry d'bi.young anitafrika is at AGAIN! This time she has teamed up with Sudanese master musician Waleed Abdulhamid, veteran drummer Odel Johnson, nationally lauded Trombonist Chris Butcher and genius guitarist Patrick O'Reilly to create a musical odyssey of infinite proportions. This is the new protest music!

The current nature of the world calls for music that is responsive to the freedom cries of the people. DBI & THE 333 is re-imagined protest music that you can dance to, sing to, heal to, love way to equality and emancipation. A lullaby to our dead behind us.to, while while transforming the current sense of apathy & hopelessness amongst us into action and joy!

#CivilRightsMixtape is protest song reverberating in a digital age while keeping sacred the wisdoms of the past. it honours the 12" record's 33 1/3 revolutions per minute through radical dub-musical anarchy and insists that we dance, sing, organize, protest, strategise and love our

D'BI. & THE 333 creates a mesmerizing new sound ala Lady Saw's Dancehall meets Skunk Anansie's punk rock while mellowing to the enchantment of Tracy Chapman, infused with the seductive poetics of Nina Simone jiving to the polyrhythms of Fela Kuti: Afro-Dub-Tryp Stylee!
