Cleft, Lost In The Riots, Axes, The Fierce And The Dead with Echoes & Dust DJ set!
Cleft
In what is likely to be their last ever London performance, we are incredibly excited to have the frankly incredible Cleft coming to play for us! The Manchester 2 piece noise machine have taken the post rock scene by storm, from the release of BOSH! In February 2014 to rave reviews, to their staggering live performances, especially at ArcTanGent! And they've got a farewell album coming out this year too!
Lost In The Riots
Lost in the Riots are a four-piece instrumental rock outfit fighting their way out of Watford, UK since 2010. Taking a different approach to the town's hardcore roots, the quartet serve up an energetic, guitar-driven mammoth of quiet-loud dynamics. With recent support slots to Toundra, Tricot and Delta Sleep. they are an absolute tour-de-force live and are not to be missed!
Axes
Axes are a four piece based in London hailing from Essex, Scotland, Iran and Denmark, whose members collectively have been playing in math and punk rock bands for over 40 years!
Formed in March 2011, theyve been steadily carving out their own euphoric math punk niche in the sometimes murky, overpopulated waters of instrumental rock. Their fast paced, high energy, million riffs a minute aural assault, always performed with infectious smiles and bags of boisterous on-stage chemistry, is a breath of fresh air.
Signed to Big Scary Monsters in November 2012, they released their debut self titled mini album in April 2013. This led to BBC Radio 1 Airplay, support slots with the likes of Owls, Lite, Minus The Bear, Tera Melos, Listener, Anamanaguchi and Bosnian Rainbows and spots at festivals such as ArcTanGent, 2000 Trees, The Great Escape, Truck and Incubate. Axes live shows have since built up a reputation as being the epitome of fun, being described as a celebration of the sheer joy of making music.
Glory, their 2nd album, was released through Big Scary Monsters (and Stiff Slack in Japan) on 3rd November 2014. With a genuinely eclectic array of influences ranging from thrash to emo to r & b, the band promise to leave no genre unexplored. The album release coincided with a 2 week tour throughout the UK and Europe.
The Fierce And The Dead
The Fierce And The Dead have released 2 albums and 3 EPs since forming in 2010 and are currently signed to BEM records. They continue to tour regularly and have recently supported bands including The Aristocrats & Crippled Black Phoenix and played at the Arctangent festival with 65daysofstatic, Deafheaven and Deerhoof, amongst many other festival appearances. They were nominated for a Prog Magazine Award for best new act and have received positive press from Time Out New York, Total Guitar, Rock A Rolla, Echoes And Dust and others. They have been selected to be the first instrumental act to play the 2016 Ramblin Man festival with Hawkwind, Europe & Whitesnake and are currently recording their third album.
Oh yeah, and if that lot wasn't enough, Echoes & Dust are on DJ duties!! Tickets will fly out for this - make sure you get yours!
