When she was a tiny tot Shelby Lanterman's dad exposed her to rock & roll and other popular music; at twelve she picked up the guitar and began performing; at sixteen she began writing her own music. Shelby's performance credits include Hollywood's Roxy Theater, Bottle Rock Festival, Sweetwater Music Hall, Uptown Theater, Silo's and many more.
While studying for her certificate in Audio Engineering at Nashville's Dark Horse Institute, Shelby was immersed in in the "music first" atmosphere that is so tied to the famed city. She was able to work with musicians from throughout the country while developing her repertoire as a producer. Inspired by artists ranging from Johnny Cash to Nirvana, Shelby's songwriting style blends the angst and energy of 90's alt-rock/grunge with the sensibility of Americana and roots rock.
