Scott Hansen and the Stagebender at the Comedy Gallery
Award winning comedian Scott Hansen teams with the double winner of the "MTV Comedy Challenge" The Stagebenders, for a hilarious evening of standup comedy, improvisation and sketches that have been called "A guaranteed laugh riot!" by the St Paul Pioneer Press. SCOTT HANSEN
Scott Hansen is the unprecedented, 5-time winner of the Minnesota Comedian of the Year award. This is not an easy accomplishment in a state that is the home of comic stars Louie Anderson, Dave Mordal, Tom Arnold and Al Franken!
The award winning comedian has made millions laugh with successful national TV appearances on HBO, Showtime, A&E and E!. Scott has developed and created two pilots and a series for Comedy Central including " Access America" which starred Fred Willard, Digest America and "Seriously Weird Magazine", which starred Joel Hodgson (Mystery Science Theatre 3000).
Creatively, Scott has written comedy material that has been performed on the "Tonight Show" or "David Letterman" by Jay Leno, Louie Anderson and Roseanne Barr. As an actor Scott starred in the short thriller "Warped " which was directed by Roger Nygaard ( "Trekkies", "Mind of the Married Man" ) which won the Houston International Film Festival and in the feature film "Crossing the Bridge directed by Mike Binder ( The Upside of Anger)
THE STAGEBENDER
Gust Alexander and Kim Thomassen bill themselves with the playful moniker "The Stagebenders." They are two junior high school buddies from Minneapolis that cracked up all of their friends. They are now America's funniest comedy duo and play to sellout audiences at concerts, comedy clubs and colleges from coast to coast. They are the only national performers to ever win the "MTV Comedy Challenge" twice in a row!
Kim Thomassen and Gust Alexander love to make people laugh. The St. Paul Pioneer Press has called them, "The Abbot and Costello for the new millennium!" The Stagebenders' act is a nonstop, fast-paced hurricane of interactive comedy that has to be experienced to be believed. The Minneapolis StarTribune has called them, "The Prince of Banter and the Prince of Glib."
After fifteen years, their act has been honed to perfection. Once they whip their audience into a comedy frenzy, no other comic dares perform after them. The Los Angeles Times has said this about the comedy twosome: "With a honed ability to play off of each other as well as the audience, the Stagebenders have mastered the art of improvisation!" Diehard fans include Geena Davis, The Kinks and the legendary Budd Friedman ( the Stagebenders headline regularly at "Improvs" all over the United States) who has been quoted as saying that, " The Stagebenders are my biggest find!"
SCOTT KADRLIK CPA COMEDIAN/ACCOUNTANT
Comedian/Accountant, Scott Kadrlik is an Oxymoron. As a comedian, Scott believes you need to be able to laugh at yourself because everyone else is already laughing at you. And as an accountant Scott believes you need to be able to prepare taxes so the tax auditor doesn't laugh at you. It's a proven fact that most people believe that there is nothing funny about being an accountant.
Enter comedian/accountant Scott Kadrlik, CPA.
Scott laughs at himself and his profession the way no other accountant has laughed before. We all know an accountant but we rarely meet one who can take the awful experience of tax preparation and make it fun.
Scott has performed at the Acme Comedy Club, Comedy Gallery, Minnesota Comedy Club, The Laugh Pit, Rick Bronson's House of Comedy, This Place is a Joke, the Joke Joint Comedy Club and Minnehaha Comedy Club.
Scott was a semi-finalist in the Funniest Person in the Twin Cities contest in 2007. Scott also made a room full of disability insurance agents laugh at the 6th Annual DI Day conference.
In 2008 Scott performed at the Prior Lake Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards event as well as many holiday parties. Scott recently was the emcee for the 2009 grand opening of the Burnsville Performing Arts Center. Scott has opened for all of the Legends of Minnesota including Louie Anderson, Scott Hansen, Tom Arnold and Jeff Gerbino.
"Your laughter is deductible and your funnybone will have capital gains! The bottom line:Scott Kadrlik is one funny accountant! I was certain that I would never say that." Scott Hansen comedian
