Trio Subtonic - Jazz Fusion from Portland
Trio Subtonic has developed a style of original music that is defined by its compositional intrigue, groove heavy improvisations and its accessibility to listeners across the musical landscape. Choosing not to be boxed into any traditional genres, Trio Subtonic continues its musical exploration with the release of Night Runners which delves into an uncompromising, darker and experimental soundscape that pushes the boundaries of their instrumentation.
The listener will find funky, groove-oriented sounds, acoustic ballads, and gospel-tinged instrumentals. Trio Subtonic's "populist" take on Jazz means that just about everybody digs what they're doing.
