Getsome Athletics at Reef City Rollergirls

This August Getsome Athletics is going to Australia!! Getsome Athletics will be stopping in Cairns to skate with all the nearby roller derby skaters.

Two full days of roller derby training from Carmen Getsome!!

This event is open to all roller derby skaters that want to improve their skating and roller derby skills! Come learn from Carmen Getsome, the creator of Team Legit (2011 national banked track champions) and 6 year member of the Rat City Rollergirls Allstar team!

Wanna learn to sternum block while hockey stopping?? How about how to jump through a pack on nothing but your toe stops? At this camp we will be teaching:

-stride and form
-stopping
-falling
-jammer agility
-partner blocking
-containment
-wall building and wall destruction
-screening
-strategy discussions
-off skates strength training
-and much much more!!!

Training on Saturday will be from 9-4 and on Sunday from 10-5

Training will be tons of hard work so remember to bring a water bottle and some snacks!!!

This clinic is BYOG! Bring Your Own Gear!

Required Equipment:
Helmet
elbow pads
wrist gaurds
knee pads
skates
mouth gaurd
a white and a black t-shirt

Cost for the camp:

$75 observers pass (this gets you in the door to watch, take notes and ask questions during each of the classes offered)

$150 skater pass (this gets you access to both days of training on skates)

$750 group discount (buy 5 passes and get the 6th one free!)
