Liz Frame and the Kickers, Todo Bien, & the Jonathan Blakeslee Trio
About Liz Frame and the Kickers
Liz Frame is backed live by her band the Kickers, a group of talented friends whose raw, acoustic sound and sweet harmonies help to deliver her material with distinction. They play regularly around Boston, northern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, and are fast becoming a favorite of the area. A prodigious writer, Ms. Frame has recently released her first full-length recording, Sooner, a collection of ten original songs that feature playing by some of the cream-of-the-crop session players, including Bobby Keyes, Duke Levine and Kevin Barry.
About Todo Bien
Since forming in Hampton, NH in 2009, Todo Bien has been grooving almost constantly, and with the release of their new album, "Here We Go," it's pretty clear that they won't be stopping anytime soon.
"Here We Go," the fourth album for the roots-rock outfit, has the kind of heart-felt, upbeat songs that fans have come to expect from members Skip Brunette (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), John Coretto (upright bass), Johann Robledo (lead guitar, background vocals), Aaron "AP" Pearsall (drums), Renee Dupuis (keys and vocals) and Eric German (percussion). Lush with harmonies, the album sways between strong messages and light vibes with the ease of a rolling tide. Todo Bien is particularly proud that they were able to fund "Here We Go" by pooling their funds from playing gigs, and they credit the support of their fans for making the album possible.
As they've toured throughout the northeast and beyond, Todo Bien has been honored to support such national acts as 311, Slightly Stoopid, Donavon Frankenreiter, Badfish, The Dirty Heads, and Rome. They've also enjoyed multiple features on Boston 92.5 The River's Homegrown Showcase and are in rotation on many northeast college radio stations.
About the Jonathan Blakeslee Trio
Jonathan Blakeslee grew up listening to 60's jazz records, bossa nova and the Beatles before taking up guitar at age 11. Since 1985, Jonathan has launched and played in bands Darjeeling, Indigene, Emotional Karate, Penhallow, Trio Encompas and Tiger Belly. His bands have played art gallery openings, festivals, farmers markets, rock clubs, coffee shops, live radio and beyond. Songwriting these days takes inspiration from American roots music, jazz, Tom Waits, Jonathan Richman, the prose and poetry of Jack Kerouac.
Jonathan Blakeslee Trio enlists the talents of upright bassist Zach Smith and drummer Eben Hearn.
