I Wish Someone Told Me
Asher first performed "I Wish Someone Told Me" on the 10 year anniversary of his move to New York City. It celebrates, questions, and explores about why we move to New York, why in God's name we stay when every sign points to the exit sign, how a seemingly innocuous interaction can change your life, and what it means to be a "New Yorker." A year and a half later he's still asking the same questions.
Asher is a freelance producer, storyteller, and community activist. He produces a monthly storytelling show, "So What Happened Was" at Freddy's Bar in Park Slope, which you can see every 4th Wednesday. His work focuses on tech projects that help communities organize and make government accessible. In his spare time he writes TV and officiates weddings.
