Welcome to Seattle's March Is Cabaret Month Festival 2016!
This DISCOUNTED double-feature ticket buys you a seat for back-to-back shows, featuring two performers at 7 pm and a different two performers at 9 pm. (There will be a half-hour break from 8:30 to 9.) Here's the lineup for Saturday, March 19!
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH 2016 presents: JEROME ELLIOTT in "Bat Out Of Jersey" with VICTOR JANUSZ
Jerome Elliott shares his wild ride from Jersey high-school theater nerd to Palm Springs cabaret artist, fulfilling the prophecy to "Sparkle, Neely, Sparkle!" Renaissance man and music director Victor Janusz opens with a short set.
JEROME ELLIOTT
Jerome Elliott is a prolific cabaret performer residing in Palm Springs. His critically acclaimed shows include Up In Flames, Sweet Nerd Of Youth, Crawling Back To Broadway, A Dry Heat and Bat Out Of Jersey. In 2008, Jerome participated in the Sixth Annual International Cabaret Conference at Yale University. He has since played major cabaret venues in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Diego and St. Louis. An award-winning actor, Jerome performed Fred Barton's cult classic Miss Gulch Returns! to critical acclaim at Desert Ensemble Theatre in 2015; he also, conceived, directed and performed in Desert Ensemble Theatre's 2014 and 2015 opening night musical galas. Jerome won a 2013 Desert League Theatre Award for his performance in Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays.
VICTOR JANUSZ
One of the Northwest's most in-demand piano men, Victor Janusz has fronted his own band for 15 years, headlining at venues from Canlis, Columbia Tower Club and El Gaucho to Tulalip Casino and Salty's on Alki (where he has been resident "Weekend Brunch" Pianist for eleven years). His one-man show "HANDS SOLO: Pianoman" (directed by Lori Larsen) sold out an exclusive two-week engagement in ACT Theatre's 2014 season; the show also played the Duplex in NYC, the Arthur Newman in Palm Springs, and the Yale International Cabaret Conference where it was workshopped. Victor has enjoyed "Command Performances" for both President Barack Obama and Microsoft Chief Steve Ballmer!

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: ANGIE LOUISE and MIZ LAWANDA DUPREE in "Appetite For Excess"
"Intoxicating" singer-songwriter Angie Louise and irrepressible jazz matron LaWanda DuPree team up to prove that in a world rife with pleasures, more is more - the trick is not to indulge ourselves to ruination! With David Marriott Jr. (trombone), John Engerman (piano), Todd Gowers (bass) and Ed Littlefield as hot band The Lou'siana Gators.
ANGIE LOUISE
Angie Louise is a performer and writer working in music, theatre and film. She is the frontwoman and songwriter for Weimar-inspired band The Love Markets ("Irresistible... A deliciously dark carnival" - Seattle Magazine), familiar to Seattle arts lovers for their appearances at ACT Theatre, City Arts Fest, Seattle Art Museum, TV's ArtZone and more. An Equity actor, Angie has performed many principal roles on regional stages including The 5th Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre, Seattle Children's Theatre, Ordway Center (St. Paul), Theatre Under The Stars (Houston), and American Musical Theatre of San Jose. Film credits: Screenwriter, songwriter and actress for two award-winning feature films, cult comedy "Gory Gory Halleujah" and holiday hit "Switchmas" starring Elliott Gould. In 2013, Angie and The Love Markets released debut album WORLD OF YOUR DREAMS. Their new album BEAUTY FACTORY will be released in August at ACT's Falls Theatre.

MIZ LAWANDA DUPREE
Miz LaWanda DuPree is a self-professed "jazz matron" from New Orleans and a force of nature whose influences include Dinah Washington, Tom Waits, Tina Turner and Billy Idol, to name a few. Miz DuPree has appeared at The Rendezvous, Re-Bar, Can Can, Theater Off Jackson, and the Phinney Center. She has also served as the hostess of such events as Tacoma's First Night New Year's Celebration and the Center for Sex-Positive Culture's auction fundraiser for Seattle Erotic Arts Festival.
Doors for the double feature open at 6:00 pm.
