MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: ARWEN DEWEY in "Musique du Film"
From Casablanca to Moonrise Kingdom, French music gives movies that certain "je ne sais quoi": romance, melancholy, sweetness and sizzle! Join Arwen and musical director Victor Janusz for a soirée of vintage French songs from the silver screen.
ARWEN DEWEY
Seattle-based singer, actor and writer Arwen Dewey has performed throughout France, Belgium and the USA in musical theatre, cabaret, opera, fringe theatre, jazz sextets, cathedral choirs, oratorio, plays by Shakespeare and Moliere, storytelling slams, Victorian caroling quartets, commedia dell' arte, acoustic folkie cafes, early music recitals, and zombie apocalypse fundraisers. She has been regaling MICM audiences with stories of international romance, Trilby hats, and the futility and joys of love since 2013. Whether through music and lyrics or the spoken and written word, Arwen is passionate about telling stories as the ultimate means of sharing and understanding each other's lives. Musical director: Victor Janusz.

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: KIM MAGUIRE in "Between The Sheets"
This sexy, chic act will take an intimate look at who and what lies behind some of the world's most well-written songs, from high and fast to slow and low. Come find out what lies between the sheets. Pianist: Jake Sele.
KIM MAGUIRE
Kim Maguire has been privileged to sing on some amazing stages, including Houston Grand Opera, Theatre Under The Stars (Houston), 5th Avenue Theatre, Benaroya Hall, Rainier Symphony, Village Theatre, Boxley's and Egan's. She has sung everything from classical to heavy blues, small cabaret venues to big splashy theatres. Her favorite spot to be, however, is in a small room that allows her to sit back with herself and feel what it is to "just be" in the music, and with the audience. Kim has classical musical roots, and though her sound is carefully sculptured, cabaret means letting the music go where the emotional moment of the lyric takes her. Kim's upcoming CD "A Night In June" will be available soon through www.kimmaguirejazz.com.
(Note: San Francisco vocalist Linda Kosut will not be performing on this night, due to a broken ankle. Arwen Dewey and Kim Maguire will each perform a one-hour set.)
Doors for the double feature open at 6:00 pm.
See you at Egan's!
*Egan's requests a $10 minimum purchase (food or drink) per patron per show.
