The DRY CREEK DRIFTERS are a Rock/Blues band from Boise, Idaho. Its members include MJ Shepherd on bass guitar, Luke Brodt on drums, Carter Fischer on vocals and rhythm guitar, and Oliver Tubach on lead guitar. The boys have been playing music individually for most of their lives and have been collaborating since they met at Arts West in 2012. Creating their own music is a collective process with the band arranging, writing and composing original music together during their rehearsal time. The Drifters main influences include a variety of classic rock artists, including Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Cream, and Stevie Ray Vaughn and various blues/jazz influences such as Howlin' Wolf, Albert King, Muddy Waters, Miles Davis, Art Blakey, and John Coltrane. The band brought themselves together two years ago, and have been under the instruction of Justin Nielsen. When not making music the band can also be found skate boarding, camping, hiking, and enjoying nature. The entire band currently attends Boise High School and together study jazz & music appreciation with Nick Clements.
