Elizabeth Goldberg, LMT is a founding massage therapist at Freed Bodyworks. Elizabeth was brought to massage first as a client with a repetitive stress injury. One of the most valuable lessons she gleaned from her own bodywork was how to work on her injury between sessions. Now as a practitioner, she is deeply focused on providing her own clients the tools they need for self-care. Elizabeth has special interest in nervous system conditions, fibromyalgia, migraines, and chronic pain. She graduated from Smith College and Potomac Massage Training Institute and completed training with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine.
Emily Brown, LMT has 10 years experience cultivating an integrative approach to bodywork wherein she employs a variety of techniques to facilitate functional change for her clients. She is known to offer tips to nurture wellness and manage stress in daily life using aromatherapy, breath-work, and stretching. Her sessions are a fluid blend of relaxing and muscle specific bodywork. As a former roller derby skater, she is especially fond of working with athletes in recovery from all kinds of injuries. She is a fresh transplant to DC and has been practicing in Seattle since 2005. When she is not teaching Yoga or doing massage, she enjoys roller-skating, bicycling, organic gardening and making collages.
