Glen David Andrews -- trombonist, singer and showman -- hails from New Orleans, a city overflowing with gifted musicians. But even in such a hometown, Andrews stands out for his "passionate, funky music" (Allmusic) and his ability to summon "a sound that mingles joy with pain and beats that swing implicitly at any tempo" (Wall Street Journal).
Andrews' gumbo of jazz, blues, funk, gospel, and soul make a perfect way to hold on to the Mardi Gras vibe while rockin' a Valentines day alternative. Bust out your dancing shoes and join us in stomping out hunger the fun way.
Glen David Andrews will perform to benefit Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry on Saturday, February 13th -- days after his NCIS New Orleans Mardi Gras debut. After bringing down the house at the American Music Festival last year, Andrews will do it again, this time in support of a great cause. To see his performance for yourself, check out the video on the left.
For $35 a ticket, this event will be a whole lotta music and a whole lotta fun!
Doors open at 7:00pm Music starts at 9:00pm
