Live Roller Derby: The Skateful Eight
New year, new fixtures! Having formed in 2015, our brilliant B team "The Roman Rollers" will be repping for BRDG in this year's SW:UK tournament and we're delighted to be hosting the first double header of the contest. Saddle up for THE SKATEFUL EIGHT!
*** WHERE ***
Join us for an afternoon of South West derby action at Bath Sports & Leisure Centre. Centrally located, with its own café all bouts will take place in the main Sports Hall. With all previous home games packed to the rafters, make sure you get down early to bag a seat with the best view of the action!
*** FIRST BOUT ***
In our opening bout, Bath's Roman Rollers will come up against the formidable Plymouth City Roller Derby Bs. This is the first time the two teams will have met on track, so there's everything to play for :) (First Whistle 2pm.)
*** SECOND BOUT ***
In our second bout of the day, our derby neighbours, Bristol Bs will clash with S.W.A.T Bs. (First Whistle 4.20pm.) Flatrack Stats predict an evenly matched bout, so with both teams playing away, this should be a nail-biter!
*** OBLIGATORY FUN POLICE ANNOUNCEMENT ***
Please note that our venue is unlicensed. Sneaking booze in seriously jeopardises BRDG's ability to host any public bouts in the future. Anyone found with alcohol will be asked to leave by the venue staff immediately. We promise there will be plenty of opportunity for a few jars at the afterparty!
*** EXTRA FUN ***
In addition to these two family friendly bouts, we'll also have stalls for you to browse, a brilliant raffle, tempting charity cake stall and some extra special half time entertainment...
*** TICKETS ***
Kids under 12 are free with an accompanying adult, but do require a ticket so we can keep track of numbers (also available from Brown Paper Tickets).
