Slow Food Chicago presents: 4th Annual Pig Roast at Goose Island
Show up and support purveyors and restaurants who embrace sustainability and support Slow Food Chicago at its annual fundraiser. Slow Food is an educational non-profit with the goal of creating a world in which everyone can enjoy food that is good, clean and fair.
Adrienne Lo + Abe Conlon of X-Marx, Matt Troost of Three Aces, Heather Terhune of Sable Kitchen & Bar, Mark Mendez of Vera, Matthew Holmes of Uncommon Ground, and Andrew Hroza of Goose Island Clybourn Brewpub confirmed for pork dishes; Jon Dubois of Green Zebra confirmed for vegetarian fare; Amy Kelsch of La Boulangerie for dessert, and Goose Island, Templeton Rye and Intelligentsia for beverages. Expect fun, food, beer, and music. Farmer LouisJohn Slagel of Slagel Family Farm, whose pigs are being used for the event, will be in attendance. Each ticket purchase gets you a commemorative glass and all the food and drinks that you can consume responsibly. DJ Jordan Walters will provide fun, lively music so bring only your most vivacious friends.
