EARTHBOUND is a musical drama set on the space station Miami, where generations of inhabitants have looked longingly at the blue planet beneath them, awaiting their chance to go home. Now only seven remain, and not all of them want to keep waiting.

Adam Hahn has been a resident playwright at SkyPilot since 2010. He has contributed to SkyPilot's REWIND, THE 12 PLAYS OF CHRISTMAS, PLANE TALK, and youth theatre AESOP PROJECT. Later this season, SkyPilot will premiere his play KONG: A GODDAMN THIRTY-FOOT GORILLA. Adam's plays FROGGER and DEAR ABE have received workshop productions at Studio Roanoke in Roanoke, VA. His play FEEDBACK LOOP premiered at the 2010 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Christian Levatino is the founder of the gangbusters theatre company, where he still resides as Artistic Director. Since 2002 he has produced, directed and acted in nearly thirty productions and been nominated for over a dozen theatre awards. Some of his favorite stage works as a director include: STREAMERS by David Rabe (2005 NAACP AWARD Nominated Best Director), BALM IN GILEAD by Lanford Wilson (2006 LA WEEKLY AWARD Nominated Best Supporting Male Performance & Revival Production), TALK RADIO by Eric Bogosian (2007 LA WEEKLY AWARD Nominated One-Act Ensemble), TRACERS by John Difusco, et al. (2008 OVATION AWARD Nominated Ensemble Performance, 2009 BACKSTAGE GARLAND AWARD Nominated Best Director & Ensemble Performance) JULIUS CAESAR adapted by Orson Welles (2010 NYIFF SELECTION.
Jonathan Price is the composer-in-residence at SkyPilot Theatre and a SkyPilot Resident Playwright. He is best known for his musical LAO JIU, which inaugurated the 600-seat New Drama Centre in Singapore, as well as the film scores to New Line's sci-fi film CYBER WARS and Showtime's drama RUSTIN. His hexaptych opera ÆSOPERA is the winner of New Opera Works' OIAM Competition and recipient of The American Composers Forum Subito Grant.
In addition to EARTHBOUND, lyricist Chana Wise has written lyrics for AT HOME IN MITFORD, based on the best-selling novel by Jan Karon, (book - Cynthia Ferrell, music - Carl Johnson); WANDERING WILLOWS, (book and music, Jonathan Price); and REEL PEOPLE (book and music by Jonathan Price). Chana has written both book and lyrics for MARY MARIE; recently performed as a part of the 2011 STAGES festival in Los Angeles, THE COFFEE QUINTET - a short musical film; and TINSELTOWN CHRISTMAS; which will premier at UC Irvine this Christmas, (all with music by Carl Johnson).
EARTHBOUND is SkyPilot's first musical and the third production of the 2012 season, our second full year of exclusively producing world premiere plays. SkyPilot is a member of the LA Stage Alliance. EARTHBOUND has been accepted into the 2012 Festival of New American Musicals.
SkyPilot Theatre Company is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering new relationships with provocative playwrights to develop the most compelling, challenging and humorous new plays for the Los Angeles theatre going audience.
