Amy Gallatin and Stillwaters with The Cadley's
It's going to be an evening of traditional mountain songs, bluegrass classics, old-time country favorites, and some original music in the same vein, spiked with smooth vocal harmony and tasty picking.
A Connecticut favorite for many years, Amy Gallatin and her band, Stillwaters, return to the Sounding Board stage for a night of bluegrass and country-tinged music that's been blended into the perfect mix of great harmonies and good old songs. Backed up by talented musicianship from three of New England's best bluegrass pickers Roger Williams on Resophonic guitar, JD Williams (Roger's son) on mandolin and vocals, and former Joe Val bassist Eric Levenson this is sure to be a night you will not want to miss.
The Cadleys will open the show. John and Cathy Cadley follow the tradition of great male-female duets like Ian & Sylvia, George Jones and Tammy Wynette, and Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons, showing how two voices blended in seamless harmony can produce one powerful sound.
