ZEN OF IMPROV 3

The Zen of Improv 3: Foundations of Scenework

The Zen of Improv pedal hits the medal as Zensters can really see all our skills come together. In Zen 3, we apply our foundational skills to discover longer scenes and completely improvised sets. We focus especially on discovering and playing the scene that is going on already in the here and now, identifying and playing through our emotional points of view and holding on to these "hooks," trusting that what we discover together is more beautiful than what we create alone, and paying attention with our "ninja detective skills" in order to respond honestly and logically to the moment happening onstage.

This class meets on the following EIGHT evenings, 6:30-8:30pm at The Pilates Studio of Hadley in the DOWNSTAIRS classroom (104 Russell St, Rt. 9 and West Street, Hadley - this is kittycorner from Esselon):

(Plan on getting there about 5-10 min. early to settle in so the workshop can start promptly.)

Come to class with prepared to move around a bunch. You might want a water bottle too. And now that you're in Zen 3, I strongly recommend you bring a notebook, if jotting down things to remember is helpful for you. If you need to reach me on class nights, my cell is 413-658-4615.
