THE RIMSKY-KORSAKOV STRING QUARTET
THE RIMSKY-KORSAKOV STRING QUARTET PLAYS RUSSIAN FAVORITES along with local composer Louise Canepa and the Napa Valley Ballet.
The Rimsky-Korsakov String Quartet, based in Saint Petersburg, Russia, is a monument to Russian musical history. First established in 1939, the ensemble boasts only the most accomplished musicians, all graduates of the St. Petersburg Academy. The RKSQ champions the music of Russian composers with the core of its repertoire being the music of Borodin, Tchaikovsky, Glazunov, Taneyev and Stravinsky. For the Jarvis Conservatory, the program is also slated to feature compositions by local composer Louise Canepa and a Borodin Dance Suite performed by the Napa Valley Ballet.
