Introduction to Son Jarocho
Class description: This 1 hour workshop will present abrief history of Son Jarocho, including an introduction to basic Jarana (traditional stringed instrument), percussion (Cajon, Quijada), and teach traditional verses in Son Jarocho verses. This workshop inaugurates Sacramento's first Son Jarocho Movement so please come and join in.
Instructors bio: Participants leading group are students of Son Jarocho and have wide knowledge of Son Jarocho. The instructors have traveled to Veracruz, where Jarocho orginated, and have taken Master Classes from the best fandangeros in the world.
