St. Patrick's Day with The Squid Jiggers
The Squids return to Mayo Street Arts for another rollicking night of musical shenanigans on the one day of the year when everyone is Irish. Dave Rowe and Troy R. Bennett The Squid Jiggers are Maine natives but they both grew up steeped in folk traditions of sea chanteys, songs from across the ocean and sing-alongs. A Squid Jiggers show is more like a kitchen party than a concert. Their voices melt into harmonies thicker than a Maine fog and their one-two punch of guitar and bass propel them forward into the night. The sound is rounded out with a little tin whistle, accordion, harmonica and bodhran. If you come, expect to sing the louder the better. Find out more at www.squidjiggers.com.
