Montreal Wen-Do Workshop #1: Debunking the Stranger Danger Myth
Wen-Do is Canada's longest-running self-defence organization by-and-for women! Since 1972 we have been bringing powerful self-defence training to women and girls just like you!
Most mainstream self-defence will teach about how to avoid stranger danger while giving us lists of "do's" and "don'ts."
In this 2-hour workshop we will explore the myths and realities of violence. We will talk about how violence plays out and we will celebrate what women and girls have done to get themselves out of dangerous situations.
Shailagh is a compassionate, intuitive self-defence instructor who uses humour and storytelling to help you (re-)write your narratives and stories of success! By using each other as inspiration you are invited in this course to embody your greater power.
Space is limited to 20 participants for this Wen-Do Women's Self-Defence workshop, so register soon to avoid disappointment! The course will be held in a second-floor loft near Metro Beaudry. Regrettably, this location is not wheelchair accessible.
Check out Shailagh's website here: http://shailaghkeaney.ca and don't hesitate to get in touch!
