Dunbar's Roy Pugh and Colin Will talk about the history of the Dunbar Closes in a fascinating discussion peppered with stories and poetry.
Roy Pugh is the author of several publications largely dealing with the history of Scotland. On taking voluntary retirement in 1996, Roy fulfilled a lifelong ambition to write and his first book The Deil's Ain': The Story of Witch Persecution in Scotland was published in 2001. This was followed by the comprehensive Swords, Loaves and Fishes: A History of Dunbar, Roy's hometown, which took thirteen years of writing and research before being published in 2003.
Colin Will has had eight poetry collections published, the latest being The Book of Ways (Red Squirrel Press, 2015). He has chaired the boards of StAnza, the Scottish Poetry Library and CoastWord. He is webmaster for Poetry Scotland and is a publisher under the name Calder Wood Press.
