Tales of Love, Death, Faith and Fishing: Richard Klein and Karen Dietz
Tales of love, death, faith, and fishing inspired by the history of Dunbar and the surrounding area. Richard Klein has been writing songs for many years. The poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca and American short stories provided much of the inspiration for previous work with his band,Quixote. He has lived in Dunbar since 2006 and has taken the landscape and stories of the local area as the starting point for his recent songs.These are crafted in folk and country traditions but with a definite contemporary edge
Karen Dietz, a native of Massachusetts, is a musician, performer,occasional songwriter, teacher and musical director who brings passion, enthusiasm and a wealth of experience to her work. Karen has been Musical and Artistic Director of Loud & Proud, Scotland's LGBT choir, since it was formed in 2005 and leads community choirs in Dunbar and North Berwick. Richard and Karen have sung together since 2008.
