The Seasons 2016 Classical Series
The Seasons Performance Hall is pleased to announce its 2016 Classical Music Series. The series will feature a great diversity of acts, curated with the intention of appealing to and engaging a diverse audience. The 2016 Classical Series will feature: intriguing and thoughtful interpretations of American themed works by Hal Ott and Anne Schilperoort; new and bold arrangements that meld traditional opera with Mexican Bolero forms, presented by Jose Iniguez; and concludes with all the glamour and gusto of violinist Denise Dillenbeck's "French Cabaret" show.

Show Details: 2/20: Encanto w/Jose Iniguez José's performance includes selections from various traditional operas, and selections from the Latin American style of Boleros. In collaborations with Latin American composers and musicians, José has been transcribing bolero music, which traditionally requires a full mariachi band, to the classical piano. Audiences have enjoyed his pairing of the beauty of classical opera arias with the charm of mariachi bolero. 4/2: New York, New York Featuring Hal Ott, Principal Flautist in the Yakima Symphony Orchestra, this program is sure to delight. Anne Schilperoort on piano and tenor vocalist Justin Rappa round out the bill of performers that will be delivering a variety of both classical and light American jazz. Thematically centered around New York, this amazing collection of pieces, including Broadway baby, Give my Regards, New York New York, and excepts from West Side Story, are sure to transport you to a magical era in the greatest city in the world. 4/30: Denise Dillenbeck's "Wanderlust" - French Cabaret Gathered from across the Northwest, the Goodenberger/Dillenbeck family and friends are converging for their debut as Sage Rendezvous. Yakima Symphony Concertmaster Denise Dillenbeck, and Percussionist Mark Goodenberger are familiar to Yakima audiences as DuoDG, and they expanded the group to include pianist Nick Caoile, and the spice and sweetness of vocalists Noelle and Sophia Goodenberger. Their "Wanderlust" concert explores music of longing and adventure. These short songs and pieces express that desire for a quick, carefree escape to Paris and points beyond, with humor and charm.
