Dead Horses at the OuterEdge (Appleton)
Fox Valley's own Dead Horses return to Appleton for an intimate seated performance at the OuterEdge Stage. Special guest to be announced. Consider bringing your valentine!
Fresh out of the recording studio with Ken Coomer (Wilco, Uncle Tupelo), Dead Horses return to the Valley following a busy fall & winter in Nashville working on their third album slated for release in May. Featuring Coomer on drums, Noam Pikelny (Punch Brothers) on banjo, as well as organ and electric guitar, Dead Horses' upcoming release is anticipated to be their most explorative and important album yet. Don't miss this intimate opportunity to experience the best of Dead Horses live at the gorgeous OuterEdge Stage.
--Bio--
"Dead Horses has a sound equally beautiful and effortless." -NPR "Simply Folk"
Raised on Bible hymns by her preacher father, Dead Horses frontwoman Sarah Vos' backstory sounds more like that of an old bluesman from the Mississippi Delta than a young folk singer from Wisconsin. But despite their youth, the Milwaukee based folk trio has crafted a timeless sound, informed as much by modern folk as it is by the classics. Vos' gospel, living free and unapologetically, is supported with conviction by Peter Raboin on acoustic guitar and Daniel Wolff on double bass.
"Good old fashioned country-pop, the sort that makes you nod, whistle and engage in other involuntary responses." -Backseat Mafia
