The beauty of "Kaiseki" in February
"Kaiseki" is one of the styles of Japanese cuisine, a course style Japanese cuisine made of various seasonal ingredients and cooked by variety of cooking methods. With monthly theme based on Japanese culture, the Japanese Kaiseki chef, Hiro Tawara will serve you a beautiful and delicious course of 5 dishes including a dessert. The theme of January event will be "The last day of Winter - "Setsubun".
On February 3rd which is the last day of Winter, in a custom called mane-maki (bean throwing), people throw and scatter roasted soy beans inside and outside their houses while saying, "Get goblins out of the house! Invite happiness into the home! (Oniwa-soto, Fukuwa-uchi!) I hope you will enjoy this unique Japanese culture while having a beautiful Kaiseki.
