San Geronimo Summer Music Festival featuring The Rock Collection
San Geronimo Summer Music Festival featuring The Rock Collection
Sol Doc and Mi Gaan will open the show

The Rock Collection is a brand new all-star group that debuted at the Oregon Country Fair last summer, and features Greg Anton (Zero) on drums, Mark Karan (RatDog) on electric guitar, Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz (ALO) on acoustic guitar and pedal steel, and Robin Sylvester (RatDog) on bass. Greg has played drums with Steve Kimock/Zero, Cast of Clowns, John Lee Hooker, Stanley Jordan and Jerry Garcia, in addition to composing soundtracks and co-writing songs with Robert Hunter. Robin has recorded or performed with the Beach Boys, Ry Cooder, Marty Balin, and Bo Diddley. Robin and Mark toured together with Bob Weir & RatDog for many years. Mark has also toured/recorded with artists such as Dave Mason and Delaney Bramlett, in addition to pop acts such as Sophie B. Hawkins and the Rembrandts. Lebo is a founding member of ALO (formerly Animal Liberation Orchestra), and has opened for/toured with Jack Johnson, G Love, and Galactic. These musicians are accomplished songwriters, recording artists, and live performers. Their music is a mix of originals and covers, blending rock, pop and improvisation. Their diverse backgrounds bring a varied, fresh color to their San Francisco rock sound.

Sol Doc, aka Fairfax native Jeremy Knudsen, is a hot new conscious hip hop performer influenced by funk, blues, afrobeat, reggae and hip hop and musicians Tribe Called Quest, Tupac Shakur, Living Legends, Common & J Cole. He has performed with Norris Man, SAGE and Junior Reid, was featured at the 19 Broadway Fairfax Festival after party and is on the High Tide Records label.

Mi Gaan is the next generation of Reggae - deeply influenced by Bob Marley as well as Peter Tosh, Burning Spear and the Fugees, Mi Gaan brings a fresh new sound through their label I-Sight Records. Boasting an international fanbase, this Marin-based band has brought down the house at the Good Festival and collaborated with an impressive roster of Reggae artists including Clinton Fearon, Norrisman, Messenjah Selah, Joshua & Luv Fyah. They are also formidable in the genres of R&B, Hip Hop, African and Blues and have performed with artists from MC Yogi to Matty Love.
