St. Tim's Coffeehouse is located within St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Skokie, IL. It's the North Shore's new acoustic folk venue. The remodeled sanctuary will be the place featuring comfortable chairs to replace wooden pews. The Winter Series begins on February 13 with Michael P. Smith, renowned composer of 'The Dutchman', recorded by Steve Goodman. Just before St. Patrick's Day, Jamie O'Reilly will regale audiences with her repertoire of Irish songs on March 12. Jamie is an entertainer with broad vocal range. The ever popular Eddie Holstein will close out the winter series on April 9. Eddie along with his brothers Fred and Alan ran the Holsteins, arguably the best folk music club in the country on Lincoln Avenue from 1981-1988. The Grammy winning songwriter teaches classes at The Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. The series will return September 10 with an exciting lineup. Additional details will be announced shortly. Concert tickets are $20. A subscription is available for $54 which is a 10% saving from full price.
