Arizona Storytellers Project
Who we want to be: Stories of living up to the people we think we want to be, and stories of letting go of the people we used to be. On this night, we celebrate the moments that define us, or who we think we want to be. Whether a superhero at age 6, or a rocker at age 13, or the president at age 17, or maybe just a better person at any age, these are the stories of setting goals and pursuing them. And they are the stories of relinquishing those goals when we outgrow them, the moments where we decide to become something new at age 21, something different at age 35, something unexpected at age 64. When: Stories begin at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 21. Venue doors open all day. Where: Blue Hound Kitchen and Cocktails in the Hotel Palomar at CityScape, 2 E. Jefferson Street, Phoenix, 602-253-6633, hotelpalomar-phoenix.com. Admission: $10. $5 for students. Questions, or want to tell a story? Contact organizer Megan Finnerty at megan.finnerty@arizonarepublic.com or at 602-444-8770.
